Studying at TIIB

Where TIIB students live

TIIB does not run halls of residence. It has arrangements with student housing providers near Dubai Knowledge Park, which means you choose the building and the room type instead of being allocated one.

Expect AED 3,500 to AED 5,000 a month.

The partners

These are the providers TIIB works with. Talk to admissions before you sign anything with anyone else.

What changes the price

  • Whether you take a private room or share one.
  • The room type and what the building includes.
  • How far from Knowledge Park you are willing to live.
  • How early you book against the intake date.

Getting to campus

Knowledge Park has its own tram stop on the Al Sufouh line and sits a few minutes from Dubai Internet City metro station. A student Nol card covers both, and most students never need a car.

Before you sign

Three things worth checking, in the order they cost people money.

  • Confirm what is included

Ask what the rent covers. Utilities, cleaning and internet are sometimes inside it and sometimes not.

  • Read the notice period

Check the notice period against the length of your programme, not against the academic year.

  • Never pay a stranger a deposit

Do not transfer a deposit to anyone outside the partner providers. Ask admissions first if you are unsure who you are dealing with.

Questions people ask

What does student accommodation in Dubai cost?

Between AED 3,500 and AED 5,000 a month, depending on whether you take a private room or share, and how close to campus you want to be. TIIB has arrangements with student housing providers, so you are not searching alone.

Does TIIB have its own halls of residence?

No. Housing is arranged through partner providers rather than owned by the institute, so nobody allocates you a room: you pick the building, and admissions makes the introduction once you hold an offer.

Also useful

Rooms need an offer first

Housing is booked around an offer, because the entry permit decides when you fly. Start the application and admissions will sequence the two for you.
