1-Year Programmes

One-year programmes

Two routes, twelve months each, full time and intensive. Both are built around producing something by the end: a venture you have launched publicly, or an automation running inside a real business.

Both carry a TIIB certificate rather than a Pearson award, and both cost AED 40,000 for the year. Applied AI is additionally endorsed by QUALIFI (UK); the Launchpad is not. The two-year HNDs are AED 40,000 per year, so this route costs one year of that and finishes sooner. What you give up is a qualification that transfers into the final year of a UK degree.

The two routes

Entrepreneurship and Career Launchpad Programme

One year, one venture. You develop a single business idea from first sketch to a public launch event where you pitch it to investors, partners and press. Mentors sit with you throughout, and the year doubles as a career foundation if the venture is not the end goal.

Applied AI for Business, Operations and Automation

A year spent making AI do work inside a business: automating a process, building a decision tool, measuring whether it saved anything. Less model theory than the HND, more implementation, and it ends with a capstone deployed in a real or simulated operation. No advanced programming required.

Also listed under two subjects

The Career Launchpad also appears under Business, and Applied AI under Digital Technologies, because that is where people look for them. Same programme, one page.

See how the shapes compare

What they share

  • Twelve months, full time, with a placement inside the year rather than after it.
  • A TIIB certificate. No Pearson award and no route into a UK degree. Applied AI carries a QUALIFI (UK) endorsement on top of that certificate, which is a body standing behind the programme rather than a second award.
  • No prior qualification is required. Each route lists what it asks for.
  • Assessed on what you produced, which is the venture or the system itself.

Who it suits

It suits someone with a specific thing they want built by this time next year, and the appetite to work at that pace to get it.

Set against a two-year HND, it is half the time, and what you leave with is a TIIB certificate rather than a qualification a university will read. Set against a four-month programme, it goes much deeper, with a placement inside the year and a final project you deliver for real.

One of these two, or a different shape

The finder will say which. Four questions, and it reads the whole catalogue rather than this page.

Next steps

One year, and something to show for it

Both routes start at the next intake and run intensively from day one. If you are weighing one against a two-year HND, admissions will put the two side by side.
